Sulphuric acid, a widely used chemical in for instance fertilizer, is highly corrosive on steel. Stainless steel is expensive and is not always resistant to the corrosion of the strong acid. Accoat has developed coatings that solve this problem: Accoshield protects production plants that are exposed to 260˚C concentrated sulphuric acid. Several plants have been in operation for more than 10 years without corrosion problems. Thanks to this reference, the coating is now being used in most of the World.
